The whole nation is being involved in battling the unseen enemy – Covid-19. Information is gathered from first responders such as medical professionals, the police, the private security industry and our military forces. Travel ban in and out of the country has been imposed. Home quarantine has been elevated to Enhanced Community Quarantine. People breaking the rules are being dealt with by the law.
Now, we have a great problem: how to stop people with a hungry stomach from violating the law. Millions of Filipinos who live in poverty are struggling with hunger.
We call for patience, sympathy, and a fighting spirit. The household at once becomes the best defense, because fighting this struggle starts at home.
