It is easy to give without expectations if it comes from the bottom of the heart. Do not give to earn a favour but rather to inspire others and give with love, for God loves a cheerful giver.
— Lhanz Codog

Giving, especially to family, gives a feeling of satisfaction. We need to give without expecting anything in return. Because if what we expect is not given by the other person, we will only feel disappointed. I give everything I can to support my family. Moreover, I am thankful that all my efforts in giving them a better life have been appreciated.

As a parent, I provide what I can to improve my child’s future. I expect him to do well in return. The same was with friends and family, as I sometimes had expectations and got disheartened when those were not met. However, I realised that genuine happiness is best felt by the heart while we give without expecting anything in return. Because of self-interest and human weaknesses, we often forget that giving should be done unconditionally and that God loves a cheerful giver.

When I was not feeling the presence of God in my life, it was hard to give without expectations easily. Human as I am, I quickly got hurt when my efforts got wasted, and the other party did not give importance to it. I felt people were taking advantage of me.
However, as I knew God deeper, it is easy to give without expectations. I believe God knows what is in my heart in terms of giving. I want others to feel that there is someone they can lean on in times of need. I wish others may feel the love and goodness of God through me, that they may have faith, and that I am one among the many instruments of God’s grace in their life. Sharing my blessings with others is very fulfilling, and there is an inner joy so hard to explain.

It is easy to give without expecting anything in return, and it should be like that. Once we give, do not expect anything in return – that is a genuine and pure heart. As a friend, it is even more important not to expect anything once we give as it is one of a sign showing how we treasure the friendship. Moreover, as parents with unconditional love, why even think of having something in return?
— Luz Sabado Flores

It is better to give than to receive. The small act of giving or helping can make a difference in someone else’s life. When we give something, maybe we are acting like angels, sent by God to help others even if they do not realise it. At least we have done our job as good Christians to our family or friends. Moreover, giving is easy when we do not expect anything in return. It gives us a feeling of gratitude to God because we can share his blessings with others.
— Wenefreda Rasing

It is never easy to give without expecting anything, especially in a materialistic world. On the other hand, when we can train ourselves to lead a simpler life, we will realise that we can give without expectations. Always remember that everything we enjoy and cherish in life is brought by God’s love, grace, and mercy. Now let us all pray that we will continue to be there for each other, as we belong to one nation of God.
— Mary Jean Tanada

When I give, I pray that my act of giving will do good for the receiver, and I do not expect anything back. It is easy to give without expectation when I regard it as a charitable act. I always have the feeling of joy and peace in my heart as I give anything I should, especially to the poor and the less privileged. When I least expect from others, God’s blessings on me overflow and my needs are sufficiently met by his grace.
