In order for me to have a good confession I must make a good preparation. I need to pray more for guidance as I make a list of all my sins. I spend more time in prayers in preparation everytime I go to confession. A prayer of praise and gratefulness is the first step for me to have a good confession. Self introspection helps me to remember all my sins, big and small, then I am able to honestly tell them all, including other sins that I may have forgotten in my last confession. I will listen attentively to the advice of my confessor and then carefully obey his instruction. Then I will say my own prayers in all honesty and openness. It is in this way that I will feel totally forgiven by our merciful and loving God. I will go home cleansed, re-energised and with a Christ-like heart renewed. — Aja Rae Togana
