Lord, I beg for your mercy

I’m thirsty for words Lord and you give me wisdom
I’ve wished to be free, you let me have freedom
All my life you’re my guiding light
Lord you made my dark days bright

Lord you show me the right path
You save me from evil’s wrath
You’re the master of my world
You’re my strength and my shield

I pray to be always holy
Avoid misdeeds and folly
When I’ve done something bad
Please forgive me God

Enlighten my soul with your brightness
So my spirit can cross the dark abyss
Stairway to heaven don’t let me miss
Making sins let me desist

When I’m getting weak to the call of temptation
Let your given wisdom be my solution
Lord I’m always feeling the Holy Spirit’s presence
Make clear the darkness of my essence

I’ll wait for the end of days
To be in your heaven I pray
In my remaining years make me strong to be holy
Lord God I beg for your mercy

Give us blessings by your will
We’re weak, still to evil we fall
Lord hold our souls in your hands
Keep it safe till the end of humanity.
