Main Activities for the Jubilee Year and 80th Anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong [2025 & 2026]

29 Dec 2024 (Sunday)  5.00pm	Jubilee Opening Eucharistic Celebration	Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception	Blessing of the “Light of Hope” (Oil Lamp) during the Eucharistic Celebration
29 Dec 2024 to 31 Dec 2026	Passing on of the “Light of Hope” (Oil Lamp)	Tour the parishes, with each of them keeping the Oil Lamp for two weeks.	During those two weeks, prayer gatherings, faith-sharing gatherings  and other activities, etc., can be held, with schools and members of the local community participating.
Full Year 2025	Gatherings to introduce the theme and significance of Jubilee 2025 will be organized in the deaneries respectively.		Deaneries are to organize their own activities.
2-5 May 2025	Taizé Prayer Service for Youth	Wah Yan College, Kowloon and St. Ignatius Chapel	Christian Churches and Ecclesial Communities will be invited.
20-22 Jun 2025	Faith Camp for Children	Caritas Camps — Ming Fai, Oi Fai and Ka Fai House
1-13 Jul 2025	Exposition of Relics	Caritas Community Hall, Caine Road and Karl Hall, Raimondi College	More than 100 saints’ relics will be exposed with related talks and activities.
18-19 Oct 2025	Concert and Evangelization Rally, Mission Sunday	MacPherson Stadium
Early in the Year 2026	“Bless the City” Prayer Meeting	A public place (to be confirmed)	Christian Churches and Ecclesial Communities will be invited.
Year 2025 to Year 2026	Local Pilgrimages		A plenary indulgence will be granted to the faithful participating  in a pilgrimage to one of the nine designated local churches.
Year 2025 to Year 2026	Community Services		Individual parishes are encouraged to organize such services,  so that the faithful may become “Signs of Hope” for the poor,  the needy and the socially marginalized.”
