Looking for a brighter 2021

Looking for a brighter 2021

The great Author of Life has gently closed chapter 2020 and is starting to scribble on the first page of 2021. Will the mood of this chapter be bright and gay, sad and gloomy or intense and scary?

Before getting so worked up trying to figure out what 2021 holds for us, it pays to look back and understand the gist of the previous chapter and learn the lessons the Author is trying to teach us so we can brace ourselves for more difficult tests.

The 365 pages of chapter 2020 have been interspersed with scenes of volcanic eruptions, horrific typhoons, massive earthquakes and devastations and covid-19 pandemic which has shaken all nations. The omniscient Author must have allowed these grave situations for reasons beyond our comprehension. Yet those trying times taught us very valuable lessons.

The challenges of 2020 caused so much mental agitation and emotional strain to many people yet on a positive note, they rekindled our faith and strengthened our character. Through them we learned to look up and be on our knees as we clasp the hands of the omnipotent one and hope for deliverance. We learned that his abiding presence is our only source of safety and security as we face our battles individually.

As we start reading the pages of chapter 2021 let us be filled with peace and joy for the Author holding the pen has thoughts higher than ours and his wisdom is beyond question. He is the Almighty who reigns supreme in the universe and marks our destiny.

Happy new year everyone.God bless us all.
