I acknowledge my mistakes, admit them as soon as possible, and apologise if necessary. Remember that mistakes are opportunities to learn. One solution to keep an idle mind from dwelling on mistakes is to keep oneself busy with positive and meaningful activities. Some of the mistakes we make are out of our control. Despite knowing it is wrong, sometimes I take challenges to learn from them, whether they have positive or negative outcomes. After knowing the effects of my mistakes, I learn how to manage and control the situation before mistakes reappear. Above all, I always turn to God and entrust everything to him as he will never forsake his children. I ask for his wisdom for every decision and plan I make because I know he will lead me in the right direction.

All of us are sinners in thoughts, words and deeds. We also sometimes think wrong about other people. When we talk, without realising it, we hurt others. I am not a perfect person and make mistakes; whenever I do, I always seek and ask for forgiveness from the Lord. I believe that when we earnestly ask God’s forgiveness for all our mistakes and sins, we will feel in our hearts that God will forgive us.

No one is without fault in this world, for everyone makes mistakes. However, I have learned to listen to advice and reminders and to think twice before doing anything. Even so, I still make mistakes in my decisions. Nevertheless, I am learning from these mistakes. I, too, have become more robust. Accepting my mistakes and forgiving myself is a healthy way of turning my past mistakes into stepping stones toward a better future. Mistakes are everyday ingredients for a happy life when used as guides in doing things right.

Through my mistakes, I have gained maturity and freedom, for they taught me valuable lessons that enable me to avoid repeating them. In order to stop dwelling on my mistakes, I must accept, forgive, pray, and have faith in the Lord. I need to accept that I made a mistake. I must seek forgiveness first from God, then from those I have wronged through my mistakes, and finally from myself. To do that, I have to pray and seek the Lord’s grace so I am forgiven and ready to start anew.

I often hurt the feelings of the people close to my heart due to my mistakes, sometimes unintentionally. In cases like these, I always recognise my mistakes, and I ask for their forgiveness, advice or support while I willingly do some necessary reparation. I learn humility and become more responsible for my plans and actions.
