When depression strikes, I divert my thoughts to worship songs and think of how good God is for not abandoning me in my time of need, as well as my family back home, who is always my second source of strength. I rarely experience depression; I may feel stressed, but only briefly, because I know myself, I believe in God’s words, and I know that every problem in life has a solution. We may not feel it right away, but there is a solution, and there always will be, because God works in mysterious ways. I’m a positive person. When I face difficulties, I pray for guidance and strength to overcome my burdens. Prayer and faith in God are my best armours.

Aside from prayer, I draw my strength from my family. Their support and loving presence are invaluable. My friends, neighbors, and community also help me overcome depression. As the saying goes, “No man is an island.” We cannot live alone; we need to ask for help and support from one another. Believe in yourself, have faith, and keep going.

We feel God’s presence in our lives in prayers. God is always by our side, especially in times of trouble, and will never leave us. Although he cannot be seen or touched, he will surely help and guide us whenever we are feeling depressed. He uses people to help us, such as our family, relatives, friends, and even strangers. Through them, we can find strength in addition to prayer.

When I’m feeling depressed, I seek help from my friends, especially my parents, who listen to me and understand me. Talking to them eases my anxiety and helps me relax. Of course, the best thing is to seek help from God through prayer and meditation.

When I’m feeling depressed, I pray and talk to God. Aside from this, I call my family and friends who understand me and are willing to listen. Talking to them eases my depression. Sometimes, I listen to praise and worship songs. If I don’t have anyone to talk to, I take a walk in the park. Seeing God’s beautiful creations helps me relax.

I can draw strength when facing depression beyond relying on prayer by connecting with loved ones, such as friends and family, who can offer a sense of belonging and provide emotional support helps me as well. Talking to someone who understands my struggles or simply being around people who listen and lend a shoulder to lean on can give me a sense of lightness and renewed energy.
