Finding hope in time of crisis

Finding hope in time of crisis

It is very challenging to hold on to hope at a time of crisis or illness. Mostly I rely on various strategies to cope such as social support from my family, friends and love ones.

I practice techniques that focus on the present moment or draw strength from my faith in God and I always bear in mind the phrase “God always makes a way”. These ideas suggest that God provides solutions to every situation or problem we had. It is a source of faith and hope for many, asserting that in every situation God has a plan or a way forward.

The second saying that I always like in time of crisis or illness is “There’s always a rainbow after the rain”. These saying is a metaphor for hope, suggesting that difficult times will eventually be followed by positive experience. The rain represent crisis or illness while the rainbow symbolises relief, new beginnings or healings. It is a reminder for each of us to remain optimistic that good things can and will come after a period of struggles.
