In a land where dreams take flight,
Mary and Joseph fled that night,
Escaping from a cruel decree,
To save their child,
their hope to be free.
They found refuge, safe and sound,
In Egypt’s arms, love tightly bound.
But when the danger passed away,
An angel’s whisper showed the way.
Yet here we stand, a different plight,
Many leave home, searching for light.
To escape the grip of poverty’s hold,
They work through the years, growing old.
While some return to their homeland sweet,
Others toil on, never retreat.
With hopes of saving, dreams in their eyes,
They labour hard, under foreign skies.
Their sacrifices shape their days,
As longing hearts learn new ways.
Through sleepless nights and weary hands,
They build a future, where hope withstands.
Two journeys differ, yet share a thread,
Of love and courage in all that’s said.
For freedom, for family, we strive and we seek,
In every heart, there’s a story unique.
