In the hush of night, I lift my prayer,
For peace to blanket my beloved land,
No disasters striking, no burdens to bear,
Just unity and love, hand in hand.
I dream of safety for each family,
No loss of lives, no hearts left to mourn,
In every heart, let hope grow free,
As we welcome the promise of a brand new dawn.
May the shadows of corruption fade away,
Let honesty breathe through every street,
For in this new year, I wish and stay,
To see my people rise in joy, not defeat.
And as I yearn for a sweet return,
To the warmth of home, where my heart will learn,
Together, we’ll weave a brighter tomorrow,
With love and peace to dissolve all sorrow.
