Finding quiet moments during holidays

Finding quiet moments during holidays

Are you able to find moments of spiritual life in the midst of the holidays? For me, the challenge is real. The pressure to meet expectations, attend events, and keep everything running smoothly often leaves little space for stillness.

Yet, l’ve learned that those small pockets of quiet are where I truly reconnect with myself and my faith. Sometimes it’s as simple as waking up a few minutes early to sit in silence, breathe deeply, and set an intention for the day.

Other times, it’s stepping outside for a brief walk, noticing the crisp winter air or the twinkling lights, and remembering the beauty of the present moment. They remind me that the holiday season isn’t just about external celebrations or obligations—it’s also about inner peace, gratitude, and spiritual renewal.

When I nurture this quiet spiritual life, I feel more grounded, more patient, and more open to truly connecting with loved ones. Ultimately, finding quiet moments during the holidays is an ongoing intention rather than a perfect achievement.

The real gift is learning to be gentle with myself when I fall short and grateful when I do find that stillness. It’s in these moments of calm that the true spirit of the season shines brightest.
