HONG KONG (SE): The Charis Choir is set to hold an Advent Prayer Concert on December 6 at 3:00pm at the chapel of Saint Francis University, Tseung Kwan O, according to a press release from the choir.
The event will offer an afternoon of music, prayer, and reflection as part of the Advent season.
The Charis Choir was founded by a group of friends and classically trained singers in 2019 and has performed at various liturgical celebrations and prayer concerts since its debut at the Messiah concert in December of that year.
Its aim is to serve the community through sacred music, the press release stated.
Highlights of the programme include organ, solo, and choral music, as well as prayers and a time of Eucharistic adoration. Father Arturo De La Torre, chaplain at the university, will lead the event. Ivan Leung, a guest organist who has just returned from studies at Canterbury Cathedral in England, will also perform.
The event is open to everyone. Charis Choir welcomes anyone looking for quiet reflection, spiritual renewal, or simply a chance to enjoy music.
