Pope Francis with Konrad Cardinal Krajewski, the papal almoner, during the blessing of an ambulance which was donated to the Ukrainian city of Lviv, at the Vatican on March 26. The cardinal arrived in Lviv with the ambulance on March 27.
“It is a great privilege for me to hand over the special gift of the ambulance on behalf of the Holy Father,” Cardinal Krajewski said, adding, “It has a symbolic value, because the ambulance is used to save lives.”.
The cardinal said, “I have already handed over this ambulance to the prefect of Lviv [who] said that the ambulance is destined for the paediatric hospital to save the children…”
