LOVE is only a four-letter word and yet the meaning of it is so powerful. It says in 1 John 3:18, “Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.” Loving someone or others requires not only by saying but by showing in actions or deeds.
The perfect example is the love of God, our Father who gave his only begotten son to save and redeem us from sins. No other words can describe such great love. I can see in this Bible verse the love of parents for their children as one example especially those who are parents working overseas away from their children to provide all their daily needs and support their studies.
These parents show their love not only by saying but by taking all the risks and all the trials while at work. For we know not all have the same situation in their workplaces like here in Hong Kong. Sometimes some OFWs suffer not only physical abuse but also mentally and emotionally but because of love they willingly accept all the hardships. What a great love!
Thank you, God, our Father for showing us the best example of what true love is!
