VATICAN (SE): The approximately 180 cardinals [just over a hundred of whom are eligible to elect a pope] present at the Vatican agreed on the morning of April 28, Rome time, that the conclave to elect the 267th pope will begin on May 7, following the conclusion of the Novemdiales Masses to pray for the eternal repose of the late Pope Francis, Vatican News reported.
The conclave will take place in the Sistine Chapel, which will be closed to visitors during the proceedings.
