HONG KONG (SE): The Church of the Annunciation, Tsuen Wan, announced the passing of our former assistant parish priest, Guadalupe Father Sergio Arturo Chavira Álvarez, on August 2 in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
He was fondly known as Father Sergio.
“Let us commend his soul to the loving mercy of God the Father and entrust him to the maternal care of our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of the Annunciation,” the announcement on the parish Facebook page said on August 4.
Prayers are requested for the eternal repose of Father Sergio’s soul, for his family, and the Missionaries of Guadalupe.
