When sorrow visits and escape feels far,
And peace evades, its form hard to shape,
I step outside and breathe my garden’s sweet perfume,
Where thirsty plants await my gentle bloom.
I seek peace within, a sanctuary of the heart,
A verdant haven where solace finds its start.
I let peace reside, a fortress strong and true,
Unwavering, enduring, a hope that conquers blue.
When my faith is weak, like slow waves in the sea,
Yet, I savour God’s strength that endures eternally.
I trust in his love, his justice, and his might;
The downtrodden rise, the humble shine so bright.
Futile are your taunts, your jeers, your insults,
But I stand firm in faith, and savour the results.
A new dawn breaks, strengthens me to overcome,
Through steadfast faith, I am rising above all harm.
