First thing to look forward to back home

The first thing I look forward to when flying back home is spending uninterrupted time with my family and enjoying homemade food. Nothing compares to the feeling of relief when you step back into your own house. There is truly no place like home.

I want to give my mother a warm, tight hug and take good care of my family. I thank God for protecting me while working in Hong Kong. I plan to visit the graves of my father and sisters, cook every meal for my family, and attend Holy Mass together on Sundays.

I want to share a big meal with my family, especially my favorite pork adobo cooked by my father. I also plan to take family and friends to bond in Malico. Time passes quickly, so I want to focus on quality time and making every moment memorable.

I plan to treat my family to an unlimited seafood buffet in Valenzuela to strengthen our bond. My siblings and I are also planning a fun staycation in Tagaytay or Baguio. Being away is lonely, so I want to build beautiful shared memories for the future.

Landing in Negros, the first thing I look forward to is hugging my family and sharing a meal. I miss ginisang ginamos, laswa, chicken inasal, and Jollibee. Enjoying local food is great, but laughing and catching up with family is the best part.

I look forward to visiting my father’s grave, attending Mass in Bicolano, and going on a pilgrimage to five churches in Naga City. I also crave my mom’s spaghetti and macaroni soup. These moments make all the sacrifices worthwhile.

I want to relax with my children and parents at the beach while satisfying my cravings for native kakanins like bibingka, suman, and saging na saba. It is as simple as enjoying good food and family.
