Easter, or Pascha, is the most significant celebration in the Christian world, forming the very foundation of our faith. As 1 Peter 1:3 reminds us, Jesus has risen from the dead; without him, we are nothing.
Following forty days of fervent prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, I feel moved to love Jesus more deeply. This season encourages me to “think of what is above” (Colossians 3:12) and strive for holiness through the intercession of Mother Mary and the saints.
Reflecting on my life, I acknowledge the weaknesses and self-centredness that have led me into sin. Too often, I have followed my own desires rather than God’s, hurting the Lord through my mistakes. However, through the grace of a good confession, I have sought his mercy and compassion. By performing penance and making amends, I am working to make my broken soul whole again.
I now strive to live in a way that is pleasing to God, trusting him entirely. I give all glory and praise to the name of Jesus—the only way, the truth, and the life. Through his Paschal Mystery, I find the strength to turn away from the earthly and move closer to his divine light.
